Interactive notebooks

in class at school

I got acquainted with interactive exercise books by chance, after seeing an advertisement for courses in one of the groups for teachers on the Vkontakte social network.

I have long been looking for something unusual, bright, helping students to master the school curriculum.

And I think I found it.

What are interactive notebooks?

An interactive notebook is a notebook in which children put notes and illustrations made by their own hands, in the form of interactive mini-books on the topics studied.

Interactive elements are pasted into a notebook and create an interactive learning space. this allows students to interact with information in the lesson, and not automatically record under dictation.

IT can contain:

  • Color illustrations

  • Mini-books

  • Pockets with cards

  • Books with all kinds of windows

  • Accordion books

  • 3D elements

IT creates a "repeat, no repeat" effect.

8 differences between IT and school notebooks

1. IT - colorful and colorful. Design (paste, paint, help organize and group information);

2. clear structure and systematization (has content, titles of topics, numbered pages) It is very easy for children to navigate in their notebook;

3. compactness (the topics are voluminous, but thanks to the templates, it turns out to place the topic on one spread);

4. visualization (IT contains a lot of pictures and illustrations, children perceive information better through visual images. IT notebooks are similar to visual dictionaries, but made with their own hands, it's a pity to throw it away);

5. neat design and careful handling of the notebook (it's a pity to just throw out a notebook made by yourself);

6. IT increases interest in subjects (the lesson should be bright, rich, it increases interest not only in notebooks, assignments, but also in the subject as a whole);

7. IT creates the effect of repetition without repetition (IT is perceived as crafts, and you want to show it to friends, parents and, showing, tell, thereby repeating, you can put a lot of games in it);

8. learning through creativity (recall the words of Sukhomlinsky "The origins of creative abilities and gifts of children at their fingertips" The more skill in a child's palm, the smarter the child.

Essential materials for working with IT

Life hacks

1. How to quickly create a template without any measurements with a ruler. Collapse to indicate the cut lines.

2. We glue the flapbook into the notebook from the center in the direction of the pages so that the flaps do not wrinkle.

3. Outline of elements. It is always necessary to trace the outline to limit the space for your notes. This is best done using a ruler.

4. It is better to glue the pockets without labels from below so that the cards do not fall out.
